Since graduating from the University of Washington School of Law, Barbara has devoted her career to helping families protect their assets, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. Her practice focuses on estate planning for each generation, special needs trusts, and long term care planning.  She is recognized for her scholarship in the area of government benefits and special needs trusts and regularly speaks to professional groups around the state on these topics. She is a member of the Special Needs Alliance, a national invitational organization of attorneys who specialize in the area of government benefits for persons with disabilities and served as the editor for its online newsletter, the Voice.  Barbara is consistently named as one of the city’s best attorneys in Super Lawyer Magazine and has the highest peer rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
